News of the layoffs sparked a new crisis on Twitter amid a major crisis. And in such a situation, Twitter announced the temporary closure of all offices.
Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, has been in the news for various decisions, starting with the purchase of Twitter. He gave the company's employees a condition, to work long hours or leave their jobs.
The deadline for fulfilling this condition was Thursday. Twitter has decided to close the office after hundreds of the employees did not agree to its terms.
Earlier this month, Twitter said the company would lay off roughly half of its workforce. The message sent to employees is said to refrain from discussing sensitive company matters information on social networks, in the press or elsewhere.
Elon Musk, the world's richest man, took over as the company's CEO last month after buying Twitter for $44 billion.
